About The Spotlight Series
In addition to our regular Season, City Lights is proud to offer the Spotlight Series. These shows range from independent productions by touring artists from the Bay Area and beyond, to features from nomadic arts groups, to studio-style productions from our own artistic family. These very special productions are co-produced by the visiting artists and City Lights, allowing emerging groups access to City Lights' audiences, performance space, and marketing/box offices support. This structure provides guest artists with a chance to develop their own audiences while honing their artistic and administrative skills.
Previous participants in the Spotlight Series have included Bay Are Birth Information, Santa Clara University Department of Theatre and Dance, Sia Amma, Molly Lyons, Notre Dame High School, Terry Pelayo, Badfish, Opsis Productions and Renegade Theatre Experiment.
