Shakespeare on shuffle! All the romance, politics, intrigue, disguise, deception, and sexual antics of the Bard's greatest works . . . all the world's a stage when Rosalind puts on her iPod and leaves home in disguise, encountering a brave new world as classic Shakespeare is recharged and reimagined for an entirely new adventure!

Playwright Jeffrey Bracco is a Bay Area native who now works as an actor and director in Paris, France. A graduate and former professor at Santa Clara University, and formerly head of Performing Arts at Archbishop Mitty High School, Mr. Bracco created ShakesPod specifically for high school/ university students and has had great success with a production he directed and toured in Europe. ShakesPod will play at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival during the month of August before touring the U.K. and France.

About The Spotlight Series
In addition to our regular Season, City Lights is proud to offer the Spotlight Series. These shows range from independent productions by touring artists from the Bay Area and beyond, to features from nomadic arts groups, to studio-style productions from our own artistic family. These very special productions are co-produced by the visiting artists and City Lights, allowing emerging groups access to City Lights' audiences, performance space, and marketing/box offices support. This structure provides guest artists with a chance to develop their own audiences while honing their artistic and administrative skills.

Previous participants in the Spotlight Series have included Bay Area Birth Information, Santa Clara University Department of Theatre and Dance, Sia Amma, Molly Lyons, Notre Dame High School, Terry Pelayo, Badfish, Opsis Productions and Renegade Theatre Experiment.
